Brett Wilson Senior Coach for the 2013 Season and Nathan Mills returning as Assistant Coach

After a successful 1st year coaching at Mernda including winning the Premiership and moving back into Division 2, signing Brett as coach again was a priority for our Club. Nathan was also instrumental in laying the ground work in 2012 and we are only too glad he decided to remain as Assistant to Brett.

Brett Wilson has been appointed the new coach of the Mernda Football Club for the 2012 season, Brett joins the Mernda Demons from Oak Park Football Club in the EDFL.

The Mernda Football and Netball Club is excited to have someone of Brett`s experience joining the club. Brett is an excellent communicator, who will instil a work ethic and a game plan that is specific and detailed for all, his passion to develop an exciting young list of players at Mernda.

He also has coaching experience at Northcote Park Football Club where he played the majority of his career, Brett was captain of the Cougars in 2004 & 2008, he won the clubs best and Fairest in 2007 and was runner up in 2003 and 2008.

Brett`s team success has been 3 Division 1 Flags with Northcote Park Football Club in 2000, 2001 & 2003, plus a Division 2 Flag with Oak Park Football Club in 2009, this team success will be the focus and the winning team culture for the club & team success.

Brett is committed to developing a strong leadership group that echoes his philosophies, vision and game plan to all players and supporters.
